CENTER IN SÃO PAULO
The Ramakrishna Order started its
activities in South America with the foundation of an affiliated Center in
Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1932. During these long years, various monks and
nuns have visited some Brazilian cities. The Ramakrishna Vedanta Ashrama in
São Paulo was founded in 1974. This Center was affiliated to the Ramakrishna
Order in 1999, with the coming of Swami Nirmalatmananda, the first resident
monk of the Order in Brasil.

This Center is a spiritual,
religious, cultural and philosophical institution without any financial
income but for some donations by a few devotees, friends, and admirers.
